I'm no chef, but cooking is a major part of my job as a stay-at-home-mom. My kids can only take so much of my plain baked chicken, so I’m always on the lookout for easy ways to spice things up in the kitchen.
This spring, Coca-Cola is helping me (and you!) with great recipes from Coke with Meals through My Coke Rewards. I was pleasantly surprised as I browsed the recipes and videos from Chefs G. Garvin and Ingrid Hoffmann, and decided to give Chef G’s Coca-Cola BBQ Wings a try.
It’s always a risk when I try a new recipe. My kids are very picky and I put so much pressure on myself to get things right. Fortunately, Chef G’s wings were an absolute hit. It was a very easy recipe and the Coca-Cola barbecue sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and heat. I created some extra to keep in the fridge and we’ve enjoyed it on at least three other dishes since then. It’s one more mom-friendly, family-approved recipe for my arsenal. I’ve yet to try it on ribs, but that’s coming very soon.
If you’re up for something new and tasty, spend some time on the site. You can also create a shareable cookbook of your family’s favorites, and read and share tips on how to get kids, pre-teens and teens involved in the kitchen. Of course, I suggest you try the BBQ wings—I’d love to hear how they turn out. Find your favorite recipe and give it a try, then leave me a comment to let me know what you thought!
